Sons Of Everest Duo

Who am I

Be Great and Make Others Great !

Courage and determination carried their fathers to the top of Mount Everest in 1953. Today, Peter Hillary and Jamling Tenzing Norgay can talk about the historic accomplishment of their fathers with an interesting and personal perspective.

Facing the harshest natural elements on Earth, Hillary and Norgay have each matched their fathers' 1953 conquest of the world's highest mountain. Drawing upon their separate experiences of conquering the summit, they are helping to make a 2003 National Geographic documentary marking the 50th anniversary of the first successful ascent.

Norgay, climbing leader for the IMAX film expedition, conquered Mount Everest in 1996. This expedition, made famous in Jon Krakauer's bestseller Into Thin Air, took place during that year's ill-fated and tragic climbing season. Norgay's recent book, Touching My Father's Soul puts the Everest experience in the context of his Buddhist belief and the indigenous Sherpa culture.

Hillary, who has actually reached the Everest peak twice, has been featured on the Late Show With David Letterman and Good Morning America via satellite from Antarctica. His literary achievements have been published in The New York Times and numerous daily newspapers. He is a powerful and dynamic speaker who has a wealth of stories to tell from a lifetime of high adventure.
